Why are all of my prints limited edition?

A limited edition print is a copy of an original artwork that is produced in a set number, making it more rare and valuable than an open edition print.

All of my prints are limited edition normally one of a hundred and fifty. Commissions I do for clients don’t get added to the my collection you see on this website.

When, and if, I get to the end of a run of 150 I stop and no longer have it for sale. I't’s important and I’m very strict about it.

My clients come to me because they know they’re not just getting a print in a frame, they are getting something collectable and something of value. I also feel proud that the work and time I’ve spent curating my collection and making the galleries is meaningful to those that get to see my work and enjoy it. I also feel that the internet is flooded with fine art city photography and a lot of it is pretty bland. There is no story often behind the work and most of the stuff you see are postcard type images. Photography is a skill. Prints take time to take and to make. There’s no value in a print shoved in a frame generated on a website.

My work is unique and collectable and that’s why every print that leaves my studio in a frame is numbered, signed by me, and titled. You can just see if you look carefully these details written on the mount below the print above. I have clients who bought my first limited edition prints from my stall on Northcote Road all those years ago. They come back because they know they’ll get another unique limited edition print made with all the love and care their first print from me was made with.
