Framed London black and white panoramic prints.

In the London prints section of our website there is a new category named London Panoramics. You can see them all here. Panoramics are large framed prints and they are perfect for offices or large wall spaces. They are also perfect as standalone prints where just one large print is required such as an office reception area or a boardroom. They are 52” wide and they are large prints. The print below of St. Paul’s is perfectly symmetrical and suits the panoramic shape. You can see it here. I also have this print in colour.

Very often when I’m out shooting a commission I’ll be thinking of panoramics for a particular space or room in a home or an office. Because a panoramic print is so large I also choose my film carefully. Yes, I shoot on film and everything you see on this website has been shot on film. I use 400ISO film for the black and white prints and Fuji Velvia 64ISO for the colour prints. Both of these films are very smooth and I find I can make very large prints without any grain. I make the prints by hand in our London studio and they are framed by the framers next door. The frames are also made my hand.

The prints above and below are good examples of standalone prints. You can hang them on their own. When I’m out looking for prints for a particular project I’ll be looking for black and white prints that will work well as sets and I’m also looking for subject matter that will form a great standalone panoramic print. The panoramics are often skylines and of course London has dozens of great skylines. The print below I’m particularly proud of because I’ve managed to combine the sunset with the lights of the city. The clear blue sky matches with the reflection on the river. This particular print is the result of many sessions wating for the perfect combination of ambient light and sunset.
