Framed prints of London. Why the Akaroa gallery?

I grew up in New Zealand and I came to the UK in 1985 where I started my professional career. My family and I spent our holidays in a place called Akaroa which is a small fishing village about 1 1/2 hours dive from Christchurch. We sailed, went fishing, swam in the sea, and we barbecued. It was idyllic and when thinking of a name to call my gallery the name Akaroa seemed a good choice. Akaroa is no longer a sleepy fishing village. Cruise ships now come into the harbour and there are smart restaurants catering for well healed tourists. It’s now the sort of place a smart gallery might do well in.

Below a picture of me before I rebranded to The Akaroa Gallery.

The gallery is now mostly online which suits my clients. The USP is the same. We hand make beautiful limited edition prints of world cities for offices home and gifts. It’s all a far cry from Akaroa but I love to keep my association with one of my favourite places in the world.

I do have some great prints of Akaroa. I’m working on my set of New Zealand and Australia prints and should have them ready this year. For the moment please enjoy my northern hemisphere prints, please get in contact and we can help you assemble a set. Call us on 020 8333 0151.
