Framed prints of Prague. Perfect for a for home office.

Prague is a photographers dream and over the years I’ve taken some of my best black and white images there. The first time I went to Prague I went on a stag trip and didn’t take that many images but I knew I had to go back. The second time I took more gear than I needed and my wife complained about my tripod constantly. I came back from that trip and made some amazing black and white prints which I still have running as limited editions today. It was mid summer and the clear skies in the early morning and in the evening made for some lovely shadowy prints. You can see all of the Prague black and white prints here.

I took my favourite films with me. A 64ISO colour film- Fuji Velvia which I needed my tripod for as it’s a very slow film. I also took a few boxes of Ilford 100ISO black and white film. The print at the bottom of this page is an example of the shadows you see in Prague. I develop and print all of my own work in our London studio. I find that if I do this myself I’m able to get exactly what I want particularly if I’m printing to large sizes. The print on the right above is one of a set of lovely silhouettes I was able to make with such perfect summer evenings. I still have limited editions left of this print and you can see it here.

The bridges in Prague need a tripod to photograph. If you can get up high enough the bridges stretch out like they do in Florence. At night The Charles Bridge is lit up up and the colours are beautifully saturated with the Fuji film. The print above hangs in an Airbnb in South West London.
